[Dub Trap/Riddim:] HeroBust – Blockbuster

[Dub Trap/Riddim:] HeroBust – Blockbuster

Plenty of energy and bass to be found in Herobust’s offering to trap bass world “Blockbuster.” As the song says, enjoy the show.

[Dance House/Deep House:] Notsofamous – Hold on to me

[Dance Future/Deep House:]

Notsofamous’ “Hold on to me” revisits all the best elements of dance and early future house. The sustained vocals during the chorus bring flashbacks of 00s trance music and ambient acts like Late Night Alumni. This track should fit right into chill house sets or down-tempo functions.

[Chill Future/IDM:] Lil Thing (KiD Curry Remix)

[Chill Future/IDM:] Lil Thing (KiD Curry Remix)

Check out this chill future cut channeling some serious intelligent dance music (IDM) vibes. Relaxing cascading synths and chilled-out vocals produce abound and it’s all for good. Kid Curry’s remix of “Lil Thing” is not to be missed.

The EDM giant Marshmello and the trap icons Migos have teamed up for their track Danger, a tune for the soundtrack to the upcoming Netflix movie Bright, which features another EDM/trap crossover with a song from Steve Aoki and Lil Uzi Vert.

While it’s rare for these two worlds to collide, it isn’t unheard of with Marshmello having remixed Future’s Mask Off and using the talents of Khalid for his song Silence. However, this time round he lets go of the air horns and frat party drops in favour of a colder, more trap like beat that the Migos would be more accustomed to, but not without dropping the electronic sounds altogether.

The end result is a slightly more electronic trap tune, reminiscent of the sounds used on Vince Staples’ album Big Fish Theory released earlier this year. The rattling hi hats and ominous…

[Dance/Deep House:] Rock With This (Original Mix) (Lapsus) – SoundCloud

[Dance/Deep House:] Rock With This (Original Mix) – Rich Wakley

The house vibes are strong with this one. With some classic dance music samples, reggae vocals and a steady, funky bass line this is made for clubs.

It’s probably impossible to stay still while this is playing. Do yourself a favor and check this one out!

[Tech House/Deep House:] Mayson Maynard – Ejaculate

[Tech House/Deep House:] Mason Maynard – Ejaculate

Mayson Maynard’s tech-house track “Ejaculate” definitely comes with some mind melting bass. After seeing a video from Imagine Festival on Instagrams #IMF2017 hashtag I realized I had missed a lot by not checking out MK (Marc Kinchen)’s set at Oceania Stage during the fest.

Leading with a steady BPM, house snares and drums that break down into one of the most mind-blowing bass lines I have ever heard, the track is heavy.

Simple, and repetitive, yet deep and all encompassing, trying to describe the flow of this song is insufficient. Check it out above.

[Bass House:] Dustycloud – Run

[Bass House:] Run (Original Mix) – DUSTYCLOUD.

Bass house DJ Dustycloud does not disappoint with his “chill” bass house cut “Run.” Filled with dirty bass, deep house synths and dancey vocals, this track would fit right in in the most underground of house clubs.

After a YouTuber commented on my upload of Tchami x Malaa’s concert vid “World to Me” saying he thought Dustycloud remixed the version I uploaded, I had to check him out. So far I have not been disappointed 👌🏽💯🔥
