[Throwback:] [Alternative Pop/Electronic:] Caribou – Odessa

[Throwbacks:] Odessa – Caribou (featured in FIFA ’11)

This eclectic little number comes from an era twas rife with alternative electronic acts like Caribou. Released in 2010, a few years before, acts like MGMT and Empire of the Sun were transforming alternative rock and electronic music while channeling sounds of the 80s rock scene.

“Odessa” was featured in FIFA ’11, the worldwide hit soccer video game from EA Sports, well known for its varied soundtracks. Take some time and drift away to these entrancing sounds.

[Bass House:] BROHUG releases Swag / Vamos – EP on Dim Mak Records

Bass house trio BROHUG releases their Swag / Vamos – EP just in time for 2019.

[Bass House/Big Room:] “Swag” and “Vamos” EP on Dim Mak Records

BROHUG has done it once again with some bass-laden tunes released just in time for the new year. Closing out 2018, is the “Swag / Vamos” EP release on Dim Mak Records. Both tunes are filled to the brim with bass and BROHUG’s signature sound.

“Swag” is energetic with a repeating female vocal that echoes after the drop. “Vamos” employs a deep voice repeating the title and filling the floor with heavy bass ambiance. It takes some inspiration from the big-room genre.

Stream both tracks on BROHUG’s Soundcloud.

[Bass House/Rap:] Kanye West & Lil Pump – I Love It (BROHUG Remix)

Bass house trio BROHUG remixes Kanye West & Lil Pump’s “I Love It”

[Bass House/Rap:] I Love It (BROHUG Remix) – Kanye West & Lil’ Pump

https://youtu.be/HcZmlqU7TJI

Bass house gurus BROHUG have done it again with a massive remix of Kanye West and Lil’ Pump’s “I Love It.” The popular trio perfectly meld the sounds of Rap and G-House with their signature bass house sound. Loud, noisy, full of energy and made for going crazy to, by the first drop the track is a floor filler.

A slick interlude with funky basslines after the drop smoothly mixes with Lil’ Pump’s bars and more relaxed raps as compared to Kanye and the overall energy of the song. Right after, it’s back to another heavy drop this time accentuated by horns and industrial sounds. This remix certainly improves upon the original.
