Some days, weeks, months, moments in time just hit you right in the feels. You feel stressed, life’s moving a million minutes a second and things change in the blink of an eye…
And then you land on some nice chill-step. For me personally, on repeat for days on end. The mind calms. Images of waves breaking on the shore, the sun rising over a verdant valley with mountains lining the backdrop. Home (well, sonically at least).
These two featured songs really take me back to the 2010s era of dubstep and electronic music. It may have a bit to do with the fact they both were released during this same era, but in a way, they’re still timeless. That sonic sound of the beginnings of melodic dubstep. It just hits in the brain just right.
