I’ve got two great G House tracks for you this time.
[G-House/Bass House:] Selecta – G
Listen up gangstas
Put it in the air son
First up is the Gangsta House single “G” by bass God Selecta. Not overly complex, pure, raw energy and vital tenets of good bass & house music make an essential transitory track. Sure to keep energy levels up until the next floor shaking anthem is cued and ready to go.
Next up, ATICA & Selecta’s “WoW” featuring spacey bass wobbles and reggae/dancehall vocals. Another song to be used to bring folks on to the floor. The progression through the song is solid, never quite feeling stale. A+ stuff.
Bass gods Airwolf & Rrotik bring the fire in their collab “What You Think Gonna Happen,” a dark building masterpiece of bass and filthy flows.
Definitely something you’d hear in the most underground, off-the-map house & bass clubs for enthusiasts of dark, powerful electronic music. Do yourself a favor and connect with your underground raver side with this cut ✌🏽🕺.
The genre of house continues to evolve every day. Contained in the same sub-family as Bass House is G-House, house that frequently samples gangsta rap vocals alongside heavy bass. These types of songs are filthy, dirty and exactly the kind of tracks you’d hear in the deeper cuts of a rave, or somewhere they don’t play pop EDM.
Sonny Banks “Good Girls” is a great example of pumped up G-House (some of it is more downtempo) and is expectable from fellow Confession label mate to Dustycloud and Loge21.
