Smooth House Remix of Baauer’s “One Touch (feat. AlunaGeorge)” by Chocolate Flip & Luca Lush

Shortly after the release of “One Touch” by electronic artist and man behind the hit “Harlem Shake” song, Baauer, which evolved into a full-blown Internet meme, remixes of the song began popping up on blogs and music sites. One of the smoother and more IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) type remixes was done by the collaboration of EDM artists Chocolate Flip and Luca Lush.

Their remix adds a spacey sound to One Touch to create the backdrop of synths, bass combining harmoniously with Aluna Francis’ dreamy vocals.

Notables:

I will make you a sunset view
Gonna make it so you gonna want to
Get your hands involved with me
And you’re never gonna feel empty

O.T. Genasis – “Coco” [Music Video]

New rapper on the scene O.T. Genasis has a video for one of his breakout singles “Coco” which has recently been getting airtime on Atlanta hip-hop radio stations. Check out the video below where Genasis explains how he’s in love with the “coco” and guess what? He got it for the “low low.”

Gryffin & Hotel Garuda collab remix of BANKS’ “Beggin’ For Thread”

Electronic artist Gryffin collaborates with House/EDM DJ Hotel Garuda for this dance remix of EDM legend BANKS’ “Beggin’ For Thread.” Sultry female vocals accompany a “beach-like” sound with waves of blissful melodies. Edited vocals comprise the backbeat of the song and result in a very calming track.

Check it out below and post what you think!

Dub Electro House Remix: Animals (Gryffin Remix) – Maroon 5

One of the better remixes of a mainstream artist to come down the pipeline in the EDM world, Gryffin’s remix of Maroon 5’s “Animals” adds a progressive electro vibe to the original. With a slow, smooth tempo that gradually adds increasing layers of electronic sounds this track feels right at home among other house and dance hits.

[NEW ATL Hip-Hop/Rap] About The Money (feat. Young Thug) – T.I.

Atlanta artist Young Thug has been everywhere lately after his single “Danny Glover” which had an explosive remix featuring Nicki Minaj has been taking over airwaves in Atlanta. The latest track he is featured on now has a video, T.I.’s “About The Money.” Young Thug can be found making his distinctive…uh, we’ll call them signature “ad-libs” in between T.I.’s raps (Young Thug:  AI! BOOM! // Turn up, a what they say AAH! // A n*gga boom what!!) and telling us how hard he flosses riding with gators, AND, his shoes are Giuseppe. got damn. For a sudden rapper to appear on the scene it seems Young Thug is doing pretty good for himself…time will tell if he will move past being a couple-hit wonder and become a staple of Southern music.

[New Remix] 2 On (Remix feat. Drake) – Tinashe

I heard this single on the radio the other day in Atlanta, where stations have begun spinning female songstress Tinashe’s latest single, “2 On” and now there is a remix featuring Drake who raps and changes up the flow of the song when he comes in.

Claiming he has “always been on/I’ve always been too on” implying he has long been the “shit.” The remix while interesting has a much different vibe to it than the original, alas I’m still happy to see it and to see Tinashe getting recognition and airplay here in Atlanta.

While DJs have had remixes (mostly electronic) of “2 On” for awhile now (I highlighted one by Wax Motif as well as the original song when it released a few months ago) this is the first “hip-hop” or radio remix of the original to come out.

For a completely different, but refreshing take on the song with a very EDM/IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) vibe check out the TOKiMONSTA remix of the song -> here.

Wax Motif’s remix of the song which released around the time the song came out puts a house/dance vibe to the song. You can listen to it -> here.
