[New Future House/Bass EP:] Tchami – World to Me EP

[New Releases:] Tchami – World to Me EP (Confession Records)

One of my favorite EDM/Future House DJs, Tchami, whom I saw in concert here in Atlanta about a month or so ago, has finally released the Extended Play of his hit song, “World to Me.”

My favorite remixes so far from the EP are the Rootkit Remix and Dillon Nathaniel’s Remix. Nathaniel’s remix was dropped by Tchami and Malaa at the Atlanta Tabernacle show and features some festival-rocking, club-jumping bass revvs that are simply amazing.

The Rootkit Remix is much more atmospheric and when the chorus/drop hits the following mish mash of sounds resounds and lifts the track, and you, up high into the air. Sounding like, I dunno, for some reason it kinda reminds me of the ethereal-ness I experienced when first hearing Morgan Page’s “Fight For You” and it’s “Derby Fight” mash-up remix.

Be sure to check out the World to Me EP and Tchami’s “Confession” if you haven’t already.

[Concerts] Tchami & Malaa No Redemption Tour: Live at The Tabernacle in Atlanta

Tchami & Malaa light ATL’s Tabernacle on fire during the No Redemption Tour

Tchami & Malaa brought down the house at The Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta on Saturday, November 18th. With Halogen as the opening act the duo proceeded to melt minds and faces around 10:30 PM. Check out some of the videos I took below:

Summer ’99. Bass was lit.

I know this one! It’s “The Sermon” check out the light show these cubes give off.

Another unknown song. The drop was incredible however.

Pure Bass/Future/Dance house vibes.

Another epic remix with ridiculous bass.

[Future House:] Kid Cudi & Crookers – Day ‘N Nite (Moksi Switch Up)

There aren’t many good remixes of Kid Cudi’s “Day ‘N Nite” but Moski’s Switch Up is excellent. The right amount of Future House flair, while still incorporating the best elements of the original make for a banger that shouldn’t be missed.

Kid Cudi has always been a favorite of mine and I’ve been listening to his music since he was underground, well before Day ‘N Nite became a hit. I’ve always felt a special connection with his music. His originality, his realness, touching on issues such as depression and addiction, and the messages within his music.

Crookers is great as well and has released many “underground” like house hits and actually helped make Kid Cudi famous when they remixed “Day ‘N Nite” way back in 2008. The song was so successful in Europe (and eventually America) that it got it’s own music video, even before the original song had gotten a video!

[Future House:] Moguai & Younotus ft. Nico Santos – Lessons (Zonderling Remix)

[Rhythmic Future House:]

Zonderling’s remix of Moguai & Younotus’ “Lessons” is amazing. Featuring the vocals of Nico Santos, the Zonderling remix melds truly uplifting synth chords, and heavenly strings. Funky and mesmerizing. Everything a future house song should be. Check it out above!

[Future Dirty House:] Dua Lipa – New Rules (Shaun Dean Remix)

[DIRTY Future/Deep House:]

Dua Lipa – New Rules (Shaun Dean Remix)

So I’ve heard a couple remixes now of Dua Lipa’s “New Rules.” Most of the ones I heard before are a more chill, melodic house vibe. This remix is not that at all. Shaun Dean’s remix brings filthy, grimey bass vibes too strong to hear and sit still. While still managing to keep the soft silky vibes the original vocals bring, Dean flips this track upside down with dirty wobbly synths and bass rolls. Truly epic, don’t sleep on this!

[EDM Origins:] [Progressive House:] Fischerspooner – Emerge (Junkie XL Remix) // [Deep Prog. House:] Fischerspooner – The Best Revenge (Alex Gopher Remix)

You don’t need to
emerge from nothing
You don’t need, to tear away

Fischerspooner is one of the DJs that laid the foundation for much of today’s house music. The American DJ trio formed in New York, has had their music featured in movies, video games, and numerous advertisements Fischerspooner’s most popular single, Emerge, was featured in the video game SSX 3 remixed by Junkie XL. With a pounding, head nodding beat the track is everything progressive house should be. Music that you can bob your head to as it gets progressively deeper and entrancing. Check it out above.

For the best revenge, I AM!!!

On the flip side, for something a little darker, but just as deep if not more, check out “The Best Revenge.” While it may seem like the song builds up for an eternity (a tenet of true progressive house music) it is well worth it. By the last drop, once the guitars are added back into the mix and the lead vocalist screams “I AM!!!” the beat will have hit you so hard, you won’t know what has happened. Great music to fade away, nod off or daydream to.

[Future House/Club Hit:] Tchami – Godspell (feat. Taiki Nulight)

Future House legends Tchami and Taiki Nulight come together in an epic club banger, “Godspeed”

[Future House:] Tchami – Godspell (feat. Taiki Nulight)

I’m the one and only dominator

As soon as I saw Tchami and Taiki Nulight, I clicked as fast as my god-damn mouse could. I didn’t need to be told an epic track would ensue.

Hit Future House DJ, Tchami has been dropping several new songs, part of his Revelations – EP. He lays down an absolute club banger with fellow house legend Taiki Nulight with “Godspell.”

Filtered vocal samples, bass waves deep enough to break your coffee table and futuristic synths create a truly godly track. The introduction leading to the first drop and even the outro make excellent transitory songs for those who DJ.

Check out “Godspeed” above and more from both artists below.
