[House Remixes:] Blu Cantrell – Breathe (feat. Sean Paul) | Pearse Dunn Remix & Calvin Buckley Remix

As summer wraps up, we’re blessed with some fire house remixes of Blu Cantrell’s “Breathe” with Sean Paul.

[House:] Blu Cantrell – Breathe (ft. Sean Paul) [Pearse Dunn Remix]

[House:] Blu Cantrell – Breathe (ft. Sean Paul) [Calvin Buckley Remix]

Apparently it’s hot right now to remix Blu Cantrell’s “Breathe.” The 2003 single featured Sean Paul and enjoyed substantial airplay on hip-hop and R&B radio stations. Just in time for the wrapping of summer 2017 come two great house remixes of the original song.

Pearse Dunn’s remix channels slightly more aggressive dance-ready number, with a  funky BPM and grimey basslines coupled with synths ready to heat up the clubs, this remix definitely has energy. Calvin Buckley’s take is slightly more chill, like a mid-to-late night cut rounding out the night. Think turning up the crowd then gradually letting them mellow back out. Steadily building, echoing synths and snares culminate to a short break before the rhythm and melodies are broken down then built back up.

Both remixes are certainly worth checking out.

[Deep House/Chill Bass] WHTKD – WHTNSE (LTGTR Remix)

LTGTR does the impossible, stepping up WHTKD’s re-make of Disclosure’s “White Noise.”

[Deep House] WHTKD – WHTNSE (LTGTR Remix)

Probably one of the best takes on Disclosure’s “White Noise.” Opting for a re-make WHTKD’s atmospheric, deep House cut “WHTNSE” is truly remarkable. The already incredible tune is amped up to a level one may not have thought possible by LTGTR. Adding waves of futuristic synths and channeling WHTKD’s version into a more dance steady BPM, there is little to be desired of LTGTR’s remix. If you are a fan of house, deep house, chill house, chill wave/step, just chill shit, this one should become a regular in your playlists.

By far, this is one of the smoothest mixes I’ve done and needed the least post-editing. I am very proud to present this to you all on SoundCloud. Enjoy.

[Ambient House/IDM:] Zhu – Intoxicate

[Ambient House/Intelligent Dance Music]
Intoxicate – Zhu

What can I say about Zhu? Other than that his music is mind blowing, Zhu has been making waves in the electronic scene for quite some time now. In one of his latest releases “Intoxicate” he reaffirms his rising position among electronic producers.

“Intoxicate” is a wild, deep journey through spacey sounds, trippy bass lines and incredibly catchy computer vocals. You can’t help but move and sway to the beat as it builds up and breaks down, or for the final chorus and trap snare reprise near the ending. As the computer repeats, “Intoxicate…exhilarate…stimulate…accelerate…” you find your body and mind wanting to do the same.

Do yourself a favor and check “Intoxicate” out, as well as more from Zhu including a great remix by Enda of his song “Faded.”
