Popular producerĀ ATRIPĀ has done it again with “Beat Like”, a house tune filled with bass, and eccentric yet coordinated aural madness. Familiar rhythm structures for the artist enjoy some bass house treatment while still retaining the zany sounds and samples that characterize ATRIP’s music. His songs are very Joyride-esque, you’d swear they were brothers. House vocal samples along with some trappy snares and distorted synths phase shift to a trap section in the latter half of the track.

Shufflers will love this one with it’s very snappy beat and easy to pick up rhythm.

Today’s throwback post focuses on Canadian DJ, Kaytranada, whose infectious sound causes listeners to take notice the moment they hear one of his songs. I’d first heard of him around the time I initially began to listen to and research Future House music several years ago. Kaytranada’s music could be called Future Lounge. It’s never really high energy or insane, and it works extremely well. He makes music you’d listen to at the beach, sailing over the ocean blue, or lounging on a tropical island.

Apparently, he’s dropping new music as well with the likes of Ty Dolla $ign and will have three new tracks by Friday. Check out some of Kaytranada’s hits below and social media info.

What can I say about Zhu? Other than that his music is mind blowing, Zhu has been making waves in the electronic scene for quite some time now. In one of his latest releases “Intoxicate” he reaffirms his rising position among electronic producers.

“Intoxicate” is a wild, deep journey through spacey sounds, trippy bass lines and incredibly catchy computer vocals. You can’t help but move and sway to the beat as it builds up and breaks down, or for the final chorus and trap snare reprise near the ending. As the computer repeats, “Intoxicate…exhilarate…stimulate…accelerate…” you find your body and mind wanting to do the same.

Do yourself a favor and check “Intoxicate” out, as well as more from Zhu including a great remix by Enda of his song “Faded.”

CiDĀ is certainly an artist to be reckoned with. Having dropped numerous bangers on his own, and with fellow house giant “Kaskade,” I still have yet to find music from him that I don’t really like. “Love is Blind” is an awesome future bass-house track that pumps up the volume with slowed down vocal samples over futuristic and far out electro-synths. The result is a song with instruments you’d normally associate with a more chill, mellow house cut being used to create a floor-filling club banger. Check out other songs I’ve featured byĀ CiDĀ such as his collaboration withĀ Kaskade in “Us” or one of his more recent house bangers “Sweet Memories”

GTA & Wax Motif – Get It All

EDM producer GTA does it again, with help from house producerĀ Wax Motif in “Get It All.” While the song doesn’t really do anything sonically that is very novel or unique, it’s combinations of melodies is soothing to the ear and you can’t help but bop to it. Check out a rap collab by GTA and rapper Vince Staples in “Little Bit of This.”
