Quick Update then back to the music.

Hey all! Just a quick update. I do apologize for this brief lack of content as we go into the end of the fall holidays. Aside from working, I have been looking for and picking up a few freelance gigs and just planning the next steps of my career and life, really.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and is getting to spend some time with those that matter most in your life and also take some time to relax as another year soon comes to a close. I will try to make a big point of posting to this blog more regularly and soon working on a visual overhaul of the site itself.

Since I spoke with ATHRS at this year’s Imagine Music Festival, I have been writing for the local city events blog ATL By Day and fairly recently have just joined a national EDM music blog that I will post about soon once I’ve officially published something with them (keep your eyes peeled here!). I have also re-surfaced my old college portfolio site and will be working on and updating that as well, and also will be posting more reviews (music, EPs, as well as product and video game reviews).

Bare with me on all of these websites, and feel free to comment, positive, negative, anything as I love to hear feedback! If you have recommendations for music or artists to cover or anything else you’d like to see on any of my sites, feel free to contact me at LuminousMediaATL@gmail.com .

Happy Holidays everyone!

Everything To Me (Adventure Club Remix) – Lips. You can fight but you won’t always win…

This awesome remix is some of what I had wanted and expected to hear at Adventure Club’s recent show in Atlanta, GA at Opera Nightclub Dec. 28. Sadly they stuck to a more mainstream, bro-identifiable playlist that had me a little disappointed.

As an EDM-head I credit my voyage into the realm of dubstep to Adventure Club (I had previously subscribed only to house, trance, and dance music, and termed this music only for the ‘youngins’). While AC put on a great high-energy show I couldn’t help but feel their popularity had caused them to sell out. *SHRUG
