[New Future House/Bass EP:] Tchami – World to Me EP

[New Releases:] Tchami – World to Me EP (Confession Records)

One of my favorite EDM/Future House DJs, Tchami, whom I saw in concert here in Atlanta about a month or so ago, has finally released the Extended Play of his hit song, “World to Me.”

My favorite remixes so far from the EP are the Rootkit Remix and Dillon Nathaniel’s Remix. Nathaniel’s remix was dropped by Tchami and Malaa at the Atlanta Tabernacle show and features some festival-rocking, club-jumping bass revvs that are simply amazing.

The Rootkit Remix is much more atmospheric and when the chorus/drop hits the following mish mash of sounds resounds and lifts the track, and you, up high into the air. Sounding like, I dunno, for some reason it kinda reminds me of the ethereal-ness I experienced when first hearing Morgan Page’s “Fight For You” and it’s “Derby Fight” mash-up remix.

Be sure to check out the World to Me EP and Tchami’s “Confession” if you haven’t already.

[EDM/Hip-Hop:] Flux Pavilion – Stain (feat. Two-9)

[EDM/Rap:] Flux Pavilion – Stain (feat. Two-9)

Atlanta Rap Collective group Two-9 has teamed up with one of the biggest DJs in the game (and major headliner of this weekend’s Imagine Music Festival), Flux Pavilion. The result is an eardrum destroying massive track that is guaranteed to do nothing except blow up in popularity.

Congratulations to the Two-9 family of artists, local Atlantans making big moves!

[Dance/Deep Bass:] BROHUG – Ballin’ // [Bass/House:] Papiyon – Trophy

I’ve got some bass house bangers for y’all to listen to as I prepare to head off to Imagine Music Festival. This time I will try to upload my coverage of Atlanta, GA’s biggest EDM fest ASAP. I must apologize for sleeping so long on uploading my Shaky Beats 2017 footage.

[Dance/Deep Bass:] Ballin’ – BROHUG

One of my most favorite dj groups as of late, BROHUG, has been dropping new music like crazy. Like all their other music, Stockholm-based BROHUG, specializes in face-melting, panty dropping, bass shaker anthems, and “Ballin'” is no different.

Filled with high energy, lots of bass and ending out (great mixable outro by the way) with a funky bass filled beat that could easily be mixed into another party-starting banger. Check out Ballin’ above and download it for free! Check out more from BROHUG below.

[Bass/House:] Papiyon – Trophy

Next up, electronic DJ Papiyon keeps the bass dropping with “Trophy.” Also a free download, the bass laden track with dark, yet melodic overtones is an instaclassic. Guaranteed to make the party, dancefloor, wherever tf live af. Check it out and download it for free above!

[Future Dirty House:] Dua Lipa – New Rules (Shaun Dean Remix)

[DIRTY Future/Deep House:]

Dua Lipa – New Rules (Shaun Dean Remix)

So I’ve heard a couple remixes now of Dua Lipa’s “New Rules.” Most of the ones I heard before are a more chill, melodic house vibe. This remix is not that at all. Shaun Dean’s remix brings filthy, grimey bass vibes too strong to hear and sit still. While still managing to keep the soft silky vibes the original vocals bring, Dean flips this track upside down with dirty wobbly synths and bass rolls. Truly epic, don’t sleep on this!

[Electronic:] Passion Pit – Sleepyhead (JAUZ Remix)

https://youtu.be/wo7pFQjqMsA

JAUZ delivers a satisfyingly hip remix of Passion Pit’s most popular song, “Sleepyhead.”

[Commercials with Great Music] [Electronic/Bass:] Men$a – Nothing Like This (feat. Love Lola Love) // Sofi Tukker – Awoo (feat. Betta Lemme)

Check out these two great tracks I found thanks to Old Navy’s commercials. Great work by their marketing team!

[Electronic & Bass:] Men$a – Nothing Like This (feat. Love Lola Love)

You never seen nothing, like this………DEM NEVA SEEN NOTHING LIKE DIS

Today’s featured track is EDM producer and DJ Men$a’s “Nothing Like This.” The song is a high-energy dance number that features heavy bass over a fairly fast BPM. Reggae dancehall samples, “Dem neva seen nothing like dis,” mix very well with the British-accented Love Lola Love‘s vocals. Her style on this track is very reminiscent of Santigold or M.I.A. The synth-break/drop is not entirely unpredictable, however the track is funky and very different nonetheless. I had heard of Men$a before but never checked out his music, if this is an indicator of his tracks I will be listening to much more Men$a from now on 🙂

Men$a’s “Nothing Like This” featured in the latest Old Navy commerical (as of mid-August 2017)

The song, released 6 days ago is featured in a new Old Navy commercial that was released 3 days ago. This likely means the song was made in conjunction with the commercial (to be released/used by Old Navy very quickly) or was made for the commercial. Typically songs made just for commercials are not released to the public (ex: Arby’s “Triple Thick Trap Remix”, most of Scion’s commercial music, etc.) The only exception’s have been songs so popular in commercials the original artist ending up having to release it or extend it (that trap number that was in Mountain Dew’s “Puppy Monkey Baby” campaign with the dancing Asian guy, ended up actually being released.)

Old Navy had another commercial this summer with some banger music. Their “Hi-Light” commercial featuring a bunch of friends hopping out of their cars at a red light and dancing til the light turns green had some notable music. Sofi Tukker’s “Awoo” was featured in the ad and is quite the spicy latin-flavored pop number itself. Be sure to check it out.

I know, I did, not raise a wrist
I know, I did, not capture it
It came (it came), it went (it went), it conquered quick
I was there, and then, I quit…
