Hoes get low, shake that ass on the floor.
Bringing you a G-House banger (think the genre along the likes of BROHUG, Loge21, Dombresky and more) with a title that is true to its words. This song is going to give me nightmares of songs with bass that drops as hard and heavy as this. If you need something heavy going into 2018, don’t sleep on this one.
[UK Grime/Garage:]
Skepta – Man (JAUZ Remix)
Bass House and EDM Producer Jauz went off on his remix of Skepta’s “Man.” With plenty of bass, UK Grime lyrics and flow, it’s a solid remix. This is probably one of the first few Skepta songs I have heard (and immediately liked). I have nothing against UK Grime or the UK scene, I’m just not heavy in it. After hearing this song however I might have to join the crew or the gang. *Salute

[House/U.K. Garage:] Atrip – Apeshit
This is straight pure house music. British producer Atrip channels those early house vibes of the U.K., Chicago and other birthplaces of the scene in “Apeshit.” All the right elements are there, danceable beat, a siren that sounds like an ape going crazy, classic sounding house samples. You can’t go wrong here.
[New Releases:] Tchami – World to Me EP (Confession Records)
One of my favorite EDM/Future House DJs, Tchami, whom I saw in concert here in Atlanta about a month or so ago, has finally released the Extended Play of his hit song, “World to Me.”
My favorite remixes so far from the EP are the Rootkit Remix and Dillon Nathaniel’s Remix. Nathaniel’s remix was dropped by Tchami and Malaa at the Atlanta Tabernacle show and features some festival-rocking, club-jumping bass revvs that are simply amazing.
The Rootkit Remix is much more atmospheric and when the chorus/drop hits the following mish mash of sounds resounds and lifts the track, and you, up high into the air. Sounding like, I dunno, for some reason it kinda reminds me of the ethereal-ness I experienced when first hearing Morgan Page’s “Fight For You” and it’s “Derby Fight” mash-up remix.

Tchami & Malaa light ATL’s Tabernacle on fire during the No Redemption Tour
Tchami & Malaa brought down the house at The Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta on Saturday, November 18th. With Halogen as the opening act the duo proceeded to melt minds and faces around 10:30 PM. Check out some of the videos I took below:
