Great for the summer heat, cool off with Pryor’s remix of Bebe Rexha’s “I Got You”
[Ambient Trap / Future House:]
Bebe Rexha – I Got You (Pryor Remix)
Courtesy of the good folks at Selected. Music channel on YouTube, is a brand new Future House banger from Bebe Rexha remixed by Pryor. “I Got You” has quality future house synths, great vocals and is calming and energizing at the same time. Throw in a little trap snare and you’ve got a perfect track for summer days at the beach, by the pool, out in the backyard or wherever your heart’s desire.
What can I say about Zhu? Other than that his music is mind blowing, Zhu has been making waves in the electronic scene for quite some time now. In one of his latest releases “Intoxicate” he reaffirms his rising position among electronic producers.
“Intoxicate” is a wild, deep journey through spacey sounds, trippy bass lines and incredibly catchy computer vocals. You can’t help but move and sway to the beat as it builds up and breaks down, or for the final chorus and trap snare reprise near the ending. As the computer repeats, “Intoxicate…exhilarate…stimulate…accelerate…” you find your body and mind wanting to do the same.
Do yourself a favor and check “Intoxicate” out, as well as more from Zhu including a great remix by Endaof his song “Faded.”
Jauz and Crankdat deliver a catchy dance/bass-house tune that energizes and uplifts with “ID (I Hold Still”
[Dance/House]
ID (I Hold Still) – Jauz & Crankdat
I (I, I –) I hold still, I hold still…
Jauz has been everywhere as of late. Dropping hits on Soundcloud, collaborating with many other DJs and producers and getting play from Rezz at Atlanta’s 2017Shaky Beats Festival.
Check out the dance-house collab between Jauz and producer Crankdat. “ID (I Hold Still)” is an energetic, yet chill ride through retro sped-up female vocal samples, a la “Retro City” of Adventure Club, but much more intricate and far less mainstream.
The bass and synths combine well for a charged dance-pop, almost trance single up until the drop where dirty and grimy bass combine rounding out the song’s trap/post-dubstep vibe. I may still be learning about boy-wonder DJ, Jauz, but I feel this is probably not the type of song he typically does, making I Hold Still all the more epic. I can only imagine hearing this live….
Tïesto delivers an absolutely stunning remix of Matthew Koma’s “Hard to Love.”
[Future House Pick]
Hard to Love (Tïesto Remix) – Matthew Koma
Tïesto does an amazing job remixing Matthew Koma‘s “Hard to Love” into quite the FutureHousebanger. Adding to the feeling of the original Tïesto adds some nice futuristic synths and interesting bass lines creating a deep, reflective track.
Vocal effects accentuate powerful lyrics touching on themes of relationship anxiety. Koma absolutely delivers lyrically, as usual.
Tiësto’s remix of “Hard to Love” is a rather moving jam, ready for the hippest house lounges and dance clubs.
HYTYD brings us “Like That.” An interesting fusion of Dubstep and Trap sounds, worth checking out for fans of EDM.
[Dub-Trap]
HYTYD – Like That
HYTYD brings the noise in his dubstep/trap hybrid “Like That.” Beginning sounding like one of your more typical dubstep songs the first drop melds trap snares with Middle Eastern sounding horns and synths and steadily comes back to its original dubstep sound. While the dubstep portions of the track seem predictable, it’s what HYTYD does in between them that is the most interesting. A catchy repeating synth chord, a nice steady, semi-fast BPM and generous amounts of bass make for an interesting sound that EDM fans should check out.
The bass gets incredibly heavy in Hekler’s “Ultimate,” a refreshing take on the bass/trap genre.
[Trap/Bass] Heckler – Ultimate
Check out this super-heavy bass filled trap banger from Hekler. Starting with a hazy atmospheric vibe the song quickly amps up the energy dropping bass bombs, heavy snares and trappy sampled vocals. The first drop of the song comes as a welcome surprise evolving into very interesting and unique basslines and bass rolls. All fans of trap and heavy bass music should not miss this track.
Check out these two new house tracks, fresh for 2017, from artists, Two Friends remixed by TRU Concept & Snakehips.
[Electronic/House]
Two Friends – Overdose (TRU Concept Remix)
I want you til’ I overdose…
Today we’re bringing you some fresh house music for your listening ears. Two Friends bring futuristic house blended with melodic chords and vocals resulting in the calming, yet uplifting “Overdose.” This remix by TRU Concept adds layers of chill, future house to the song, in place of the more dubstep-y, pop-dance fusion that is the original. Start your 2017 on the good foot with this track, hosted by selected. music, and check out others from their music group below.
Next up, Snakehips dance-house affair, “Don’t Leave” featuring MØ brings high-energy and atmospheric vocals; ones that only the voice behind Major Lazer’s “Lean On” could bring. Layers of synth sounds and calming effects mix well on this track, and though it’s initial feel is a bit like “dance-pop” there is still a very awe-inspiring deepness inherent in “Don’t Leave.” Check out the song above and check out other songs I’ve reviewed by Snakehips here and here.
