New Future House from Palastic is a sure fire summer ’16 anthem, combining elements of bass and chill.
[Songs from Youtube, Courtesy of “La Belle Musique” Group]
Just in time for the spring/summer like weather (at least in the ATL), comes a fresh new Future-House track with plenty of bass, futuristic synths and female vocals reminiscent of Lana Del Rey, Rozes, or Wild Belle and the like. “Side Note” featuring LissA is a smooth ride into chilled out female vocals, that soon ramps up into the futuristic synth chords. What makes it shine above your average future-house track however is the high-quality vocals, as well as a moving, eargasmic melody played in the background (like by the piano/horns). This song is great for bumping in the whip or at home while melting into its hodge-podge of EDM’s pop side with Future House’s crescendoing melodies.

Check out two absolutely jammin’ Future House/Bass cuts fresh off the musical cutting block…!
[Future Bass / Funk House] Autolater & Father Dude – About Face
Don’t about face we’re 25,000 miles away that’s my distance from you…
[Future Ambient Chill] Calvin Harris & Disciples – How Deep is Your Love? (Liva K Remix)
How deep is your love? Is it like the ocean? Pull me closer… How deep is your love? Is it like Nirvana? Hit me harder… how deep is your love
New Future House, Bass & Ambient Music:
We’ve got two atmospherically deep future tunes for you in this post, delving deeper into one of EDM’s fastest-growing, widely appreciated genre subsets: Future House. Our first comes to us from Autolaser & Father Dude in their Future Bass tune “About Face” admirably combining elements of funk and house music. The progression of synths blend smoothly creating a wavy line of synth chords in the instrumental breaks, very reminiscent of one of Future House’s pioneers, Minnesota.
The second a deep ambient-house track complete with calming melodic rhythms and synths, female vocals, chants through a vocoder (“so tell me how deep is your love can it go deeper”), and entrancing saxophone riffs. “How Deep is Your Love (Liva K Remix)” originally by Calvin Harris & Disciples gets some majestic remix treatment from Liva K. This remix channels sounds of the ocean and a very Latin House vibe with the perfect amount of ambience.
Liva K is a popular name among the house circuit with several hit tracks and remixes including a remix of fellow house vocalist, Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good”.
The current state of EDM music never ceases to amaze as it has branched and developed into so many unique styles in these past few years. Full of hometown pride I am happy to feature Ba-kuura’s future Atlanta dance/quasi-IDM remix of iLoveMakonnen’s “Tonight“. The added drums and bass compliment well Makonnen’s warbly crooning, nothing new from the Atlanta rapper whose “singing” strikes somewhere between corny and genius.
Next up, what starts out as your typical chill, yet up-tempo House groove dissolves the familiar rhythm structure and switches up the beat with funky UK Grime-style basslines. Sigala’s “Sweet Lovin’” is right up there with most of today’s Future House but somehow, just does it a little bit better. Needless to say, the song is pure crack, and not to be missed by those who appreciate good music.
Check out this incredibly chill, irresistibly cool remix of Selena Gomez & A$AP Rocky’s “Good For You” from Swedish EDM artist and producer Anevo.
[Future House]
Adele – Hello (Pegassi Remix)
[Ambient Chill] Adele – Hello (Anevo Remix)
Next up, two great remixes of Adele’s “H3llo” the first a Future House take from British EDM producer Pegassi, the other a much more ambient-chill version again from producer Anevo.
We’ve got two eclectic EDM highlights today coming from some very talented artists.
Our first selection is an amazing future-lounge remix (think music played in posh waiting rooms in 2025), of Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding’s monumental classic “Outside” remixed by Anevo. Anevo’s take on the song adds additional layers of chill, Ellie’s smooth vocals, calming “beach-song” guitar chords create a perfect combination of dance music elements. The result is a “future-banger” ready for downtempo clubs, and waiting rooms (heh, couldn’t help) across the world.
Also check out another smash-remix of Anevo, his cut of one of my favorite new electronic groups, Years & Years, “King (Anevo Remix)”
[Festival Anthem House-Trance] Eric Prydz – Opus (Original Mix)
Eric Prydz has been a staple EDM artist/DJ/producer since before the term “EDM” even existed. Having released music under numerous aliases, such as Pryda (also the name of an iconic album Prydz released in 2012). “Opus” is the culmination of the evolution of electronic, house music, and dance festival anthems. The Original Mix of the song has a lengthy build-up which peaks with a “drop” further cementing a sound reminiscent of Daft Punk or deadmau5. Check out more from Eric Prydz below with some of his other hit songs and links to his web presences below:
Props/shoutout to Majestic Casual for this find, check them out for more eclectic, future-oriented EDM
[FUTURE AMBIENT CHILL / LOUNGE:] Last (feat. Joel Ford) – Cyril Hahn
Check out this refreshingly chilled-out single from electronic artist Cyril Hahn “Last” featuring Joel Ford. Soft-house chords and melty-echoing vocals cascade into a funky backbeat and groovy lounge rhythm. The simple, repeating vocals add to the ambient chill vibe creating soundscapes of night-beaches, late night Ibiza chill-room sessions or put simply, a “just drift-away zone.”

Check out ARULE’s amazing remix of Sevyn Streeter’s “Don’t Kill the Fun” featuring Chris Brown. Combining elements of trap, future house and dance music this remix is club and dance ready and one of the more expertly polished remixes of Streeter’s single. You can download it for free on the Soundcloud page.
Second, we have Young Thug’s “Flava” featuring fellow rappers Rich Homie Quan & Birdman off the Rich Gang: The Tour Part I EP. This track has just the right amount of hip-hop sound combined with a pinch of futuristic, chilled-out spacey sounds alongside a smooth echoing piano chord. Check out the Official video above.
