Major Lazer – Lean On (feat. DJ Snake and MØ)

Hit electronic act Major Lazer, the collabo team of Diplo and British DJ, Switch has released a new track featuring rising superstar DJ, DJ Snake (of “Turn Down for What” and “You Know You Like It [Remix]” fame). We’re left with a nice chill electronic tune with a few trappy snares and rhythms. Check it out above and check out another, lesser-known bass/grime remix by Switch and Sinden below, and below that the same remix featuring rapper KiD CuDi.

[Rap/Future Wave] Rich Boy – Paradise (feat. Lil Hick & Dev)

Rich Boy sellin’ crackF*ck niggas wanna jack / Sh*t tight no slackJust bought a Cadillac (Throw some D’s on that b*tch!)
Just bought a Cadillac (Throw some D’s on that bitch!)
Just bought a Cadillac!”

Rich Boy, of “Throw Some D’s” fame (see below) has released a new track with Lil’ Hick and Dev (the singer associated with The Cataracs and Far East Movement, sang the chorus on “Like a G6”). The track is a mélange of hip-hop, electro sounds, smooth wavey piano chords and calming vocals in the chorus and background. Give it a listen and decide what you think of it!

The song that put Rich Boy on the map (released back when I was in high school, but a classic nonetheless!)

[Booty Bass/Moombahton] Big Sean – I Don’t F*ck With U (feat. E-40) [Los XL Bootleg]

This bootleg comes to us from moombahton focused DJ, Los XL. For this take on Big Sean’s “IDFWU” XL emphasizes a moombahton beat blending smoothly with the catchy and repeating sample (the “yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yeah!”) that Kanye West added to the original track (his sample is fleshed out at the end of the original song as a sort of outro, which was also produced by West). The result is a dance-able track that lives up to its “booty-bass” genre. Check out Los XL at his Facebook page where he has several other moombahton tracks and remixes.
