[Hyper House/Future Dance]: Jack Ü – To Ü (Feat. AlunaGeorge)

Featuring one of my favorite electronic acts, British singer/DJ duo Alunageorge, comes “To Ü,” arguably one the best songs off of Skrillex and Diplo’s new album Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü. AlunaGeorge is comprised of British singer/DJ Duo Aluna Francis and George Reid.

The group experienced a rise in popularity following the release of their first single “You Know You Like It” from their 2013 album, Body Music. This single became even more popular, as did the group themselves after rising superstar DJ Snake made a massive remix of the song in 2013. The remix was featured in a continuous megamix by dubstep DJ duo Adventure Club (Superheroes Anonymous Vol. 3) and by 2014, had become popular enough to warrant receiving its own music video.

Check out more sounds from Jack Ü here.

[2015 DEEP HOUSE:] Shawn Mendes – Never Be Alone (Rex Buchanan X Invoker Remix)

Credits to Et Musique Pour Tous for this deep house cut of Shawn Mendes‘ “Never Be Alone” coming to us from DJs Invoker and Rex Buchanan. The whistling melody throughout makes for a smooth, chill song with a sort of “cowboy riding off into the sunset” sound mixed with an absolutely groovy baseline. Enjoy.

[Funny/Memes] Balegdeh Intensifies…

Oh Balegdeh / Balegdeg what am I going to do with you. The internet has been laughing its collective asses off at the expense of Little Mix band member Jesy Nelson after an internet video where the band responded to fans and played games became suddenly hilarious. During a segment filmed for an internet website the band members were tasked with attempting to imitate accents of certain countries. Everything is going along smooth and dandy as the girls nail American accents, types of British accents and more until Nelson is selected to do a “Jamaican” accent and all hell breaks loose.

In an attempt to ready herself to do the accent, Nelson blurts out “Balegdeh” which instantly received a loud laugh from her fellow bandmate. The gravity and extent of her Balegdeh, however, was far to come.

See above video or below. In the situation stated in the caption, at some point you’re probably going to say “Balegdeh”. Don’t lie to yourself.

[Post Dubstep/Future Dance] Ellie Goulding – Your Song (Extan Remix)

EDM artist, Extan, puts a very unique spin on Ellie Goulding’s “Your Song” with “post” dubstep sounds and harmonic string choruses. The epic build-up gives way to a chillingly good track, further enhanced by EDM goddess Ellie Goulding’s heavenly vocals. Though the main genre of the song is dubstep, Extan successfully intertwines elements more common of vocal trance or dance/house music resulting in a tranquility-inducing cut. Give it a listen above and check out Extan’s other songs below.
