Australian DJ, Jyye’s remix of Rachel Costanzo’s “Comfortable” is a deep floor-filing Future House tune with plenty of emotion. The track fits right at home with Selected. music’s featured songs.
Australian based DJ, Jyye, delivers an uplifting remix of Rachel Costanzo’s “Comfortable.” Channeling future house vibes, bass lines and great vocals is a deep floor-filler with a depth of sound that is nicely realized, as much of the music featured on Selected.’s YouTube channel is.
This song certainly “keeps it comfortable” settling with a comfy sound and BPM perfect for house lounges and late night set sessions.
Swiss DJ, EDX’s “We Can’t Give Up” is a light-hearted, upbeat dance number great for cooldown sessions or more downtempo sets.
[Big Room House/Dance:] We Can’t Give Up – EDX
We Can’t Give Up (Official Music Video)
EDX Performing “We Can’t Give Up” at Imagine Music Festival 2018
Girl, you’re something special,
And you know I want you,
You’ve been on my mind all the time,
and you know, that we can’t give up
This one’s a little late, but as I was clearing media off of my phone I realized I never uploaded many videos of EDX’s show at Imagine Music Festival. I’d be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t highlight this great track, “We Can’t Give Up.”
Swiss DJ, EDX is known to delve into the more melodic and big-room style of dance music that is very emotionally moving, soothing and self-contemplative. This track is no different. Not taking itself incredibly serious and not a high energy banger, this song is more soothing to the soul and one you dance carefree to, swaying to the beat or shuffling on time. It’s important to have artists that stick to this style of music in an era where others are always looking for the “hardest” song or drop.
Each style has a time and place and this song is a great cool down track or addition to a more downtempo set. Look below for more music from EDX and links to his profiles.
NVDES are back at it again with a chill house cut 🎧
[Chill House/Ambient/Big Room:] NVDES – Louí
Check out this chill house cut from NVDES. The group has been gaining popularity after their song “D.Y.T. (Do Your Thing)” appeared in an Apple commercial for different styles of camera lighting.
Like “Do Your Thing,” “Louí” has a very chill vibe, even more so than the former. Lush house vibes and a calm, but steady beat are refreshingly reassuring for the house genre as a whole.
Cazztek delivers a bass thumping, yet ethereal big room “feel” take on Tchami’s “World to Me”
Bass/Future House:
Tchami – World to Me (feat. Luke James) [Cazztek Remix]
Tchami’s “World to Me (feat. Luke James)” was one of the songs hot enough off his album to warrant its own EP. I’ve covered the Rootkit Remix & the Dillon Nathaniel Remix but there’s another flip just as epic that deserves not to be overlooked.
Cazztek’s remix of the song takes it in an interesting direction. A fusion of bass house, dance house and Future House this remix blends all these elements for an uplifting, atmospheric remix with plenty of energy.
A catchy beat and vocal sample play over the opening hook, “Baby, you should know/that you mean the world to me” with trance synths into a bass filled future house drop. The drop alone, heavy enough to fill dancefloors, refreshingly devolves back into broken down layers at the second chorus/full hook.
Ending out with warped bass and synths and then the return of the distorted vocal sample results in a song so upbeat, so funky, so different it’ll turn just about any person’s head.
Check it out above as well as more remixes from Tchami’s “Confession” label YouTube page.
We’ve got two smash singles for you to check out today. New festival EDM from Kaskade and Jersey House from Mvntana.
Festival Style Dance / Future Big Room Kaskade & CID – Us
“Us” Official Music Video
We are the start of something new
And they don’t need to know about you,
’bout me, ’bout us,
‘Bout you, ’bout me, ’bout us
Just in time for the warmer weather, perfect for Spring and Summer EDM fests, one of my favorite house producers, Kaskade, has released a music video for his single “Us” made in collaboration with CID. The music video follows a family in the Philippines throughout their day, taking an observational look at universal, albeit basic human interactions and emotions.
The song definitely channels massive energy with its minimalistic build-up into a bass-blasting ride through heavy synth waves and chords. “Us” is sure to be a club and festival favorite and it is great to see Kaskade still coming out with material all-the-while changing up his musical styles, and doing so successfully. This song will hopefully be one of many future Big-Room hits to come.
Dancehall / Jersey House Ayo Jay feat. Fetty Wap – Your Number (Mvtana & Lil E Remix)
Melvitto on the beat
Just wanna tell you a story ’bout dis girl wey I just meet
She looking fly, yeah she lookin’neat
Ya boy looking like money, right from my head down to my feet but,
She dey smile at mi,
I dun really know what it mean…
This song has been in heavy rotation the past week or so on all my music-enabled devices. Producer Mvntana‘s massive remix of Ayo Jay’s “Your Number.” Transforming the floor-filling dancehall number, featuring Fetty Wap, the remix combines the original’s dancehall and reggae vibes and melds it with bass-bumping Jersey House.
The result is an insanely catchy high-energy dance track doing the hot 2013 single justice, well worth checking out. You can listen to the original and watch its music video below the remix above. Learn more about the artists below:
