[Mellow Hip-Hop Beats:] KA-YU – Flowers

Next up is a very interesting instrumental track coming from beat producer KA-YU, “Flowers” is a calming joyride through hip-hop, latin flavored tropical beats and sounds. The result is a very chill track great for meditating or getting work done or to simply drift off into for some moments.

[Sophisticated Beats:] J-Mac – Morning Sunshine

Producer J-Mac’s most recent track “Morning Sunshine” continues the chilled out vibe over smooth beats and vocals from our first post. Perfect for relaxing with a book in the sunlight, a picnic at a local park, or as the soundtrack to a posh art gallery, “Morning Sunshine” is calming, uplifting, jazzy and just downright sophisticated.

Dutch producers Ka-Yu & J-Mac’s sounds’ are very reminiscent of Nujabes, D’jango (some have said in comments), a little Dilla, or really any other insanely good beat producers. Take some time to mellow out to this beat and check out more from KA-YU and J-Mac below. Both artists hail from the Art in Melodies Collective group of DJs and producers.

Check the mix out on Soundcloud and be sure if you enjoy it, to like, repost and share with your friends. Enjoy!

[Future Bass House / Funk:] Autolaser & Father Dude – About Face // [Future Ambient Chill:] Calvin Harris & Disciples – How Deep is Your Love? (Liva K Remix)

Check out two absolutely jammin’ Future House/Bass cuts fresh off the musical cutting block…!

[Future Bass / Funk House]
Autolater & Father Dude – About Face

Don’t about face
we’re 25,000 miles away
that’s my distance from you…

[Future Ambient Chill]
Calvin Harris & Disciples – How Deep is Your Love? (Liva K Remix)

How deep is your love?
Is it like the ocean?
Pull me closer…
How deep is your love?
Is it like Nirvana?
Hit me harder…
how deep is your love

New Future House, Bass & Ambient Music:

We’ve got two atmospherically deep future tunes for you in this post, delving deeper into one of EDM’s fastest-growing, widely appreciated genre subsets: Future House. Our first comes to us from Autolaser & Father Dude in their Future Bass tune “About Face” admirably combining elements of funk and house music. The progression of synths blend smoothly creating a wavy line of synth chords in the instrumental breaks, very reminiscent of one of Future House’s pioneers, Minnesota.

The seconddeep ambient-house track complete with calming melodic rhythms and synths, female vocals, chants through a vocoder (“so tell me how deep is your love can it go deeper”), and entrancing saxophone riffs. “How Deep is Your Love (Liva K Remix)” originally by Calvin Harris & Disciples gets some majestic remix treatment from Liva K. This remix channels sounds of the ocean and a very Latin House vibe with the perfect amount of ambience.

Liva K is a popular name among the house circuit with several hit tracks and remixes including a remix of fellow house vocalist, Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good”.

[Future Bass/Turn-Up] Major Lazer – Too Original “Mandragora! on Acid Remix” & The festival-ready “T-Mass Remix” & iconic Original Ver.

[Future Bass / Dancehall:] Too Original (Mandragora! on Acid Remix) – Major Lazer feat. Elliphant & Rockwell

[Festival Trap / Future Trap:] Too Original (T-Mass Remix) – Major Lazer feat. Elliphant & Rockwell

[Future Dancehall] Too Original (feat. Elliphant & Rockwell) [Official Version] Lyric Video – Major Lazer

I’ma blaze high, til’ the day I die
sweat the shit out, every tear, every lie
Anybody wanna dance with meh?
Sippin’ on my rum in the corner still, ah

We a groove to di morning break.
Na, we go banana ina suga shake…

Bring the base up, make a blasta block!

Major Lazer’s lastest album Peace is the Mission has generated a lot of buzz in the music world, especially concerning EDM. With the chart topping single featuring Ariana Grande, “All My Love” dominating US (and worldwide) airwaves it’s only right to do a feature on another quite popular, more eclectic single from the album “Too Original.”

{New Rappers} [Chill Deep/Meaningful Rap:] SAFE – Feel (Prod. by Habib D.) // Roy Wood$ – Talk to Me // Devontée – Bare Tings

Feel (prod. Habib Defoundoux) – SAFE

For today’s rap/hip-hop post we have a dark, ambient-chill rap track coming from up-and-coming rapper, and suspected soon to be OVO member, SAFE. Word on the Internet is that Drake’s label and collective, OVO has been looking to add new members and SAFE is one rapper several sources claim may be next up. With two tracks released, “Now” and “Feel”, the two generated enough buzz to give SAFE some pre-release hype. This track “Feel” has a very atmospheric, almost foreboding feel and rhythm that is certainly along the lines of Drake, The Weeknd, and other singer-songwriter rap acts.

Talk to Me – Roy Wood$

Along a similar vein with the dark, ambient moody rap we have “Talk to Me” from Roy Wood$ which similarly channels Drake or Frank Ocean. The result is a very calm, relaxing groove with lyrics describing a lost love. Woods’ cadence and cycling between rapping and singing are a breath of fresh air in the hip-hop world.

Bare TIngs – Devontée

Devontée‘s “Bare Tings” is a catchy and manages to use the phrase “my woes” without coming across as annoying or lame. Devontée’s rapping style and the overall flow of the beat reminded me very much of Chip Tha Ripper or someone along those lines. Check out the song above and check out more from Devontée on his Soundcloud.

[[Fetty Wap Features]] [Rap & Hip-Hop:] Don Lu – One Night Only (feat. Fetty Wap) // Big Bankhead – Party Girl (feat. Fetty Wap)

Don Lu & Fetty Wap’s “One Night Only” is a smooth street trap cut, definitely worth checking out.

Ironically enough, this hip-hop/rap post features a song with the same title as my last post, but with a much different feel. For one, it’s not EDM! (lol) but an appreciable rap song with radio appeal from rapper Don Lu but with massive backup from hip-hop’s current shining star, Fetty Wap. Check out this very nice, smooth track you may have missed, released earlier this year in April.

Next, we have yet another low-key rap hit also featuring Fetty Wap coming from Big Bankhead. “Party Girl” continues the party rap, radio-ready sound that Fetty Wap and whoever else he is on the track with continue to find. Fetty delivers some top-notch catchy lyrics here, “You gon’ show me how you twerk? Or nahh, baby?!
